Shimmer and Sparkle

Statement by the owner:

Per the prior owner, “that view doesn’t get old”. Now, 16 years later I understand what he meant, and I concur. The morning sunrise drapes the bedroom in an orange glow. The fog in the valley sometimes looks like milk flowing between the green mountains and at night you get a 180-degree view, half wilderness, half city light twinkles.”

Imagine a perch from which you see endless rolling wooded hills, the Bay’s glimmer, and the twinkle of city lights. Walking through a stained-glass front door a panoramic view is all yours, thanks to this remodeled 1988 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath gem crowning the Columbia Community.

A remodeled kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a gas range, and maple-colored custom-built cabinets with plentiful storage. The expansive view continues in the family room area, where two sliding glass doors open to a huge deck from which you will enjoy a jaw-dropping Bay Area vista.

The private master bedroom suite has a vaulted ceiling with fan, remodeled bath, and spacious walk-in closet. Baseboards are updated throughout. Sunrise drapes the bedroom in an orange glow as valley fog appears like milk flowing between the green mountains…. All upstairs bedrooms offer ample natural light and 180-degree views. Updated bathrooms feature tile flooring and modern lighting. This home is move in-ready!

Perfect for families, this home features a large upstairs rumpus room with space for TV, ping-pong, games and gatherings. An additional space can be used as an office, or non-conforming 5th bedroom.

Well-established fruit trees surround the landscaped backyard and deck; luscious edible grapes, loquats, citrus fruits, figs and more are there for your pleasure. A lit shed on the lower lot works perfectly for storage or workshop projects.

Just a short distance away you’ll find the community pool, jacuzzi and children’s pool.

Castro Valley schools are highly rated and have recently been recognized as “exemplary”. Commute to SF via CV BART, or enjoy easy access to the I580, I680, and I880 freeways. Your 3-car garage awaits.
